About NFC

First launched in 1985, the National Family Celebrations (formerly known as National Family Week) is an important annual national event to celebrate and reinforce the importance of the family. This iconic national event is championed by the National Family Council (NFC), with strong support from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). The Council is a people sector-led committee that aims to promote and build resilient families in Singapore.

Through the month long Celebrations, families can take part in a wide array of interesting activities and events and spend quality time together!

This year, it's time to go back to basics, and revisit our family values.

It takes love, commitment, responsibility, respect and communication in equal measures , to strengthen the family fabric. Hence the theme, 100% Family!

Live out the 5 values by saying "Good morning, Mom!", helping out on the laundry, chit-chatting in the living room or making efforts to be home for dinner. Small gestures they may be, but they are big leaps to bring your family closer.

The purest, simplest, and most basic of family values. It can also be spelled T-I-M-E. Spending time together is definitely one simple way to demonstrate your love for one another.
It's not just about age. Mutual respect is about understanding each other and respecting one another as individuals with different quirks and personalities.
Sometimes all it takes is a simple "I love you" or a "Good morning mom" to spark great, insightful family conversations. Every effort at communication represents an opportunity to understand each other better.
Commitment simply means being there for your loved ones when they need you - because family will always be there for you too!
Parents and grandparents - the people who watched you grow into the person you are today. Taking care of them is more than just about 'giving back' - it is also about a sense of duty and honour towards your elders.

Family Day Out (FDO) Tickets Giveaway Contest Terms and Conditions

The National Family Council is the organiser of the Family Day Out Tickets Giveaway Contest. Participants of the contest will stand a chance to win a set of 4 Family Day Out tickets to selected local attractions. The contest is open to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.

Mode of Contest

Participants must provide their full name, NRIC number, contact number, postal and email address. They must also comply with all rules to qualify for the contest. Entries made fraudulently shall be disqualified.
Each participant can only submit 1 entry (based on NRIC no.).
Each entry stands to win a set of four tickets to one of the following:
1. Cathay Movie Tickets
2. Climb Asia Family Tasters
3. Gardens By The Bay's Conservatories Tickets
4. iFly Singapore Family Pass
5. Laser Tag Tickets
6. S.E.A. Aquarium™ Tickets
7. SailFun Family Pass

Contest period is from 22 May to 14 June 2013.

Selection of Winners

Winners will be selected via a ballot system. The organiser's decision is final and no correspondence shall be entertained or entered into. Winners will be notified via email or letter by 24/6/13
Each winner will receive 4 tickets to one allocated attraction at one time. No exchange of tickets or upgrade will be entertained.
Winners must be present for the collection of tickets on 29 June 2013 at the Family Day Out Carnival.
Tickets are valid on the specified date or time period indicated.
Tickets are neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash. Each ticket must be redeemed and utilised by a family member. Only one redemption per person is allowed. Winners are strongly encouraged to bring their family to the Family Day Out Carnival.

Indemnity

The organisers will bear no responsibility for any loss/damage to any party resulting from the issuance or use of the voucher. Winning entrants are responsible for any and all costs incurred for using the tickets except for the cost of the ticket.
Prize-winners should be prepared to take part in post-contest publicity.
The organiser reserves the right, in the event of circumstances arising which in their opinion makes it necessary, to cancel this contest at any stage.
Participation in this contest means acceptance to be bound by the terms and conditions that govern it.
